The open beta of Aion starts tonight! At 18:00 Swedish time we will pick what server we will be playing on. Magnum Opus will be playing as the “Elyos” side. It seemed a natural choice as we have been playing “The good guys” in other games, like Alliance in WoW and so on. As soon as I can I will update this very post with the name of the server that we picked. Stay tuned, and download the game client NOW!

Me and Shaonna (Zaeri) continued playing the closed beta this evening. Tonight we did not fight against monsters and such, but instead we went exploring the Capital city. It is beautiful!

We also took a few misc teasing screenshots.

This weekend me and Shaonna have been playing the closed beta of Aion. Shaonna playing as a Templar Warrior and me as a Cleric Priest. The game play, mechanics and experience is amazing! The graphics which is running on the CryEngine is stunning and you hear yourself go: “Whoaa!” every other minute. We will be back with more blog posts about Aion, but for now I hope that Magnum Opus will be one of the worlds first guilds in Aion.

If you are Swedish I really recommend that you register to the Swedish Aion community here: http://www.aiononline.se/ and pre-order Aion for only 349.- After you have ordered you will also be invited to the beta testing! How ever, the current beta event closes tonight, and so far I do not know when and if there will be a new beta event. I am hoping to be playing the gold release very soon!

UPDATE: I am just now reading on the Aion community website that this beta event was the last closed beta before gold release. Aion will be gold released in 38 days!

About the guild
We are a small group of close friends that have played toghether for several years, not only wow but other MMOG´s/MMORPG´s. Our journey in wow began a couple years back and got the thing for wow after leaving another MMOG, we found ourselfs playing more or less a complete 5 man group wich was fine while lvling. But once we hit lvl 70 (wich was the cap at that time) we soon figured out we wanted to raid, so at the time beeing we joined forces with another guild to be able to take on the challange of Karazhan wich we also raided for quite some time. After yet another time we wanted some bigger challanges and joined forces with yet another guild wich also proved us with several new challenging raids. But at speaking time we have decided to once again go back to our roots and build up a new buisness unit with our old brand “Magnum Opus”. During the years we have played different MMOG´s most times we have ended up as a high ranked guild based on a small group of core ppl, so we are not looking to be the biggest guild on our server. However we have a intention of building a capable 10 man team, for this task we need a Human Resource Manager.

Your profile
Our ambition is to find a person with relevant experience of working with human resource and recruting (irl experience counts as well), you also have a decent experience from wow and prefeereble some kind of raiding exp (not necesarly from U25 but Karazhan or Naxx 10). We wuld also like you to be above 25 years of age and consither real life as more important than wow. You will also need to be fluent in english as all written comunication as well as our boar meetings is held in english even tho we mainly want to attract players from the nordic region to our buisness

Your Challange will mainly be to recrute and supply personell to our event team, for this you will have a great freedom to plan and execute your task. You will report to the management on a weekly basis as well as holding a seat on our board.

3 Pugs in a week

During the past week I took part in 3 rather successfull pug raids, first one ventured into Naxx 25 and cleared it in a decent 5 hours wich I think is a rather good run as a pug. The run was arranged by a few ppl from one of the top guilds on the server and I took my mage wich dont realy need any gear from this raid but more badges is never wrong and a decent amount of gold to come along. The next pug I was on was into Ulduar 25 yet again with my mage, this was also a rather good pug wich downed Flame Levithan and also XT deconstruct, and from this boss I got a brand new pair of boots wich you can se on my armorypage here: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Ghostlands&n=Janeswede

The third pug I took part of was once again into Ulduar 25, this time I joined with my Shamon, at the first boss wich went down nice and easy I got me a new pair of googles wich seems awesome for my healing. after this we went on and took down both XT and Razorscale and hade a few good tries on Kologarn as well but eventualy we hade to give up our efforts. All 3 pugs where made without any kind of voice communication such as ingame voice chat, teamspeak or ventrilo, wich would have probably made these runs even more successfull.
